Unequal match

He yells, he screams, he shuffles

She is petite and can cook waffles

His hair falls out cuz he is old

She can’t even stand his odor

He says their marriage sucks

She threw away his stinky socks

He drinks a lot and anger is his friend

She came here for the better future, not for the end

They even have babies, you know?

And she still has that young glow

He disrespects her in his own way

She doesn’t care anymore – he will live only one more day…

  1. Thought provoking poem, it always baffles me that females who are the creators of the society , females who are the very symbol of care & grace sometimes are the victims of the same society which they nurture with their selfless nature. Thanks for sharing, according to your convenience please do read some of my writings as well would love to know what you think about them 🙂
